Unless you lost
eyesight on one of the eyes at least, you may have no idea what
an artificial eye is, let alone its necessity and importance.
An artificial eye is not intended for recovering, correcting
or maintaining vision.
When one lost vision on one of the eyes, he or she wants to
give a normal impression to others as if both of the eyes are
in the same healthy state. With an artificial eye, he or she
can overcome the complex associated with the 'one-eyed' image
in the society and have nice interpersonal relationships based
on his or her regained confidence. Thus there is no overemphasizing
the importance of artificial eyes to those who lost eyesight
on one of the eyes.
